Application deadlines
Spring 2008 - November 1, 2007
Summer 2008 - March 1, 2008 (This deadline is extended through March 19, 2008.)
Fall 2008 - April 15, 2008 (This deadline is extended to April 30, 2008.)
Students applying for more than one term (for example, academic year or spring and summer) should apply by the deadline for the first term they will attend.
Application Requirements
GPA: - 3.0 on a 4.0
Previous study of Chinese language is not required, except for the Fudan University Intensive Language track which requires two previous semesters of Chinese.
Non-refundable $50 Application Fee:
Make your check or money order payable to The Alliance for Global Education.
8 Photographs:
Size: 2" x 2" (passport size). Full-face. Please print your name on the back of each photo. We can not be responsible for photos without names on them. The photos are used for identification only and not for admissions purposes.
College Transcript:
This must be official and show credits and grades for all courses taken to date. Transfer students must submit official transcripts from each institution attended. All summer school work should be similarly documented.
Passport Photo Page
Please make a copy of your passport photo page and email this scanned copy to jlevy@allianceglobaled.org.This document is required by your Chinese host university. Important Chinese visa documents will not be released until your passport photo page is received.
Statement of Purpose [pdf]
Chinese University Applications
In addition to the Alliance application, our Chinese partner institutions require applicants to complete their university application. You must complete the sections in RED with your personal information and disregard the photo request. Then print and send your completed application to Julia Levy by email scan to jlevy@allianceglobaled.org or fax at 215-572-2174. This application is required before you can be accepted to the program.

Chinese Essay [pdf]
All students, except absolute beginners in Chinese, must submit a handwritten essay in Chinese characters.
Study Abroad Advisor's Form [pdf]
Indicate your program choices and the study period and sign this form before you submit it to your dean, study abroad advisor or other home campus official responsible for approving study abroad.
Academic Recommendation Form [pdf]
Indicate your program choices and the study period, and sign this form before you submit it for completion by a faculty referee (non-foreign language) who is familiar with your performance in the classroom.
Language Recommendation Form [pdf]
Indicate your program choice and the study period and sign this form before you submit it for completion by a faculty referee who is familiar with your performance in the study of foreign language. The language form is not required if you have not taken any Chinese.

Internship Placement Forms [pdf]
Students interested in applying for an internship at BCLU or SUFE must complete the attached forms and submit them to the Alliance by email scan or fax. Qualified applicants must have completed three semesters of Chinese language.
