Alliance Scholarships

Alliance scholarships are only awarded to students who attend Alliance programs in India and China. Unfortunately, we do not award scholarships to students attending non-Alliance programs. The maximum award amount is $4,500 per student for the fall and spring terms and $2,500 per student for the summer term. Students from non-traditional majors or minority backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Our award decisions are based on financial need. To be eligible for an Alliance scholarship, you must have applied for financial aid through your home school. Scholarship applications and supporting materials must be submitted by the same deadline as your Alliance program applications:

• March 1 for all summer programs
• April 1 for fall India programs / April 15 for fall China programs
• October 15 for spring India programs / November 1 for spring China programs

Students seeking financial aid should also speak with the study abroad and financial aid offices at their home institutions about taking scholarships and federal aid with them while studying overseas.  Additional funding opportunities can be found here.
