The Alliance for Global Education believes that study abroad should be within the financial reach of every student. The cost of study abroad depends on numerous factors, including the cost of overseas tuition, exchange rates abroad, and the value of the U.S. dollar. Alliance program fees cover a wide variety of services in addition to your tuition and housing. Please see our financial aid pages for more information about funding the study abroad experience.

Home School Billing
Certain colleges and universities prefer that we invoice them directly rather than send account statements to their students. Please encourage your son or daughter to check with the study abroad advisor on their campus to find out whether arrangements are in place or can be made to have their home institution cover all or part of their fee.
Alliance scholarships are only awarded to students who attend Alliance study abroad programs in India and China. Unfortunately, we do not award scholarships to students attending non-Alliance programs. The maximum award amount is $4,500 per student for the fall and spring terms and $2,500 per student for the summer term. Students from non-traditional majors or minority backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Our award decisions are based on financial need. To be eligible for an Alliance scholarship, students must have applied for financial aid through their home school. Scholarship applications and supporting materials must be submitted by the same deadline as Alliance program applications.
Students seeking financial aid should also speak with the study abroad and financial aid offices at their home institutions about taking scholarships and federal aid with them while studying overseas. Additional funding opportunities can be found here.
Refund and Withdrawal Policies
In the event that your student withdraws from the program before it has begun or during the course of the program, all refunds will be made in accordance with the refund policy published here.
