Chinese Language Partners
Each student in Beijing is paired with a Chinese graduate student whose major is teaching Chinese as a foreign language. These students provide one-on-one Chinese tutoring three times per week for one hour each time. They also help Alliance students become oriented to campus life.
"My Chinese language skills improved greatly and I still go around trying to read signs and labels in Chinatown and on other things. I still chat with my language partner who is a Masters student back at BLCU and he humors me and still teaches me random phrases and expressions."
