Shanghai offers students and unparalleled opportunity to experience China in a city undergoing economic rebirth and revitalization. It is a remarkable phenomenon in the evolution of global metropolises today. There is no place like it. One must experience Shanghai to begin to comprehend this diverse and constantly changing place.
The Alliance offers three distinct programs in Shanghai. At Fudan University, students choose between two academic tracks. The first, Contemporary Chinese Society and Language, offers courses in Chinese language plus area studies courses taught in English. The second track, Intensive Chinese Language, is for students who want to focus on learning Chinese in an intensive environment. In this premier language program, students take 20 hours per week of Chinese language and participate in a required Chinese language pledge throughout the term.
Our third program in Shanghai, International Business in China, is hosted by the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. Designed for students interested in international business and economics, this program offers the unique opportunity to study Chinese language, international business, and economic development in Asia's financial center.
