Housing and Meals

In Xi’an students are housed in the Blue Mountain International Apartments near XISU’s downtown campus.  This new apartment building is conveniently located a 10-12 minute walk from campus, and is close to restaurants, shopping malls and markets.  Each apartment will house one Alliance student and one Chinese student.  Apartments include: two single beds, two desks, two chairs, book shelves, cabinets, TV, air conditioning, washing machine, a western-style bathroom with shower, 24 hour hot water,  a kitchen and internet access.  Please note that students wishing to use internet service will be charged a monthly fee equivalent to $10.  Simple bed linens are provided by the Alliance. Towels are not provided.

Most students eat in the several cafeterias on campus that offer a variety of food choices. Meals are inexpensive (about $1 per meal). Many students also eat in local restaurants, especially those on the street adjacent to the campus. Students should budget $6 per day for meals, which will allow them to eat some meals off campus at local restaurants if desired.
